Great pictures of the Magic Carpet Mini Golf Course in Tucson are part of a story here.
It isn't nice to see this spectacle go the way of redevelopment, but for those of us who enjoyed its charms occasionally, it is nice to have some pictures to supplement our memories. Who knew that dinosaurs roamed about palm trees?

One can't help thinking that Darwin could have gotten the inspiration for his theory of evolution from observing human behavior. Such as this story of the man who was competing with his buddy to see who could spit the farthest from the balcony. He decided to use a running start, and well, you can guess the rest. Water problem? This is the Hetch Hetchy Valley, where San Francisco's water comes from. The water level looks to be 50 ft below the high point on the dam, which is a problem considering this it the time when the reservoir should be full.

Some friends, Liz and I went up to Yosemite this past weekend - we did the hike up to Upper Yosemite Falls. No, not all the way. Just enough of the way to get a great view.

This is the type of race that I should have gotten into the first time around. Taken from here.
This evening at 7:30 it is all going down. Cost of entry is fifty cents to cover your hot dog. Single rider time trial format, must hold hot dog on one hand for entire climb. You may switch hands but may not eat any portion of hot dog until crossing finish line. Time will be stopped when you have completed the hot dog. As with every race of truth, the fastest rider wins.Race start is at Wiseguy Pizza at 7:30. Race course to be announced, but it will be on dirt lasting approximately 3-45 minutes. Probably closer to three.

Random pictures
As a tourist in the US, please don't go around taking random pictures of stuff. It could get you blacklisted and the subject of an international manhunt.
Of course, your rights as a photo taker can always just be ignored when it suits the authorities. As well as your right to privacy.
